DVD Fab issues

I will try to be brief.....
I have tried everything to make copies of dvd's and keep getting an error message that I have to insert the correct media. I have tried -/+/RW's. My burners are all -/+. Here is the kicker. I just reformatted my 2 desktops and my laptop. Prior to doing so I was able to rip and burn on any 4.7 with no problems.
Out of frustration I bought a double layer dvd. I put it in and waited a minute then clicked ok. I was then given a message that I needed to insert a double layer dvd. So I said ok. It again tells me I need to insert the correct media. After clicking ok about 6 times it finally started burning.
Any ideas? I am about ready to throw all of them out the window!

Re: DVD Fab issues

You are the second poster today with the same problem. Please post a few segments of the burn log (see the link below for where to find it) so we can see the what the burning engine is up to when this happens to you.

Re: DVD Fab issues

Well for one thing you need to enable DMA on your burner, On the general instructions page for DVDFAB there is a DMA reset button, click the little gear on the upper right hand corner then click common settings and then it will go to the general instructions, also I would try SAO writing instead of packet writing

Re: DVD Fab issues

Cindylee, I think you are confusing the burning engine by trying to burn a small 3.3 GB movie onto a 8.5 GB DL disc. Try a quality (Verbatim, TY, Imation) +R SL blank and see if that works. If not, post the burn log from the SL test when you report the results.
And do follow Jimbo's advice on enabling DMA transfer mode.

i have the same problem since today. DVD Fab Platinum worked perfectly before.
DMA is activated. I use high quality discs for burning and have no problems if i use NERO for burning my ISO images.
