Hi Razor. I looked and didn't see a profile for the V3m, but there wasn't one for my phone either. I experimented using short (1 chapter) conversions using several profiles and found 3 (a Nokia, a Motorola and one of the Generic profiles) that work fine on it (an LG 9400). You may have to tweak some of the settings for bitrate and audio but I'm sure you can find something that will work. Hopefully another V3m user will chime in and give you a hand.

Re: DVD to Cell Phone

Glad you found something that works. I had to make changes to the frame rate and video bit rate to get the best picture.

As I told Razor, you can probably find a profile that works for your phone if the phone will shoot videos and store them. With most of the profiles, a 4 GB movie will wind up being around 300-400 MB after encoding as Xvid/MP4, but this will vary with the settings on the configure screen. You will need a 1 GB memory card (mine holds 3 complete movies plus other junk).

Hi cingedny. You might be able to get the info on video file requirements from Motorola customer service or tech support. If not, does the phone record video clips? If so, record a test clip to the memory card, then put the card in your PC and play it with VLC media player (or other software that will give you information on the file characteristics). Armed with that knowledge, you can then go over the many profiles and see if there is one that is close to what you need. This can be a challenge for someone new to this, but it can be done. Your fellow users are here to help you.
