Things are back to normal, at least for now. I'm also at the end of a long and fragile wire here. What about the above?

Hi Again
Drive D -- The Matshita is always the drive I use to Play/Read Cds or DVDS (and Was the Drive used to retrieve the Nero Information)
Drive E --- The Sony I use to Write CDs (an old bit of kit pre Samsung)
(Drive F is a Virtual Clone Drive)
Drive G The Samsung USB is used to Record DVDs also labeled TSST Corp

The ELBY is not used and I dont know where it came from

Something that is concerning me Paul and members is that I have missed something -- some instruction Or the like I havent carried out, and that I am confusing the Issue
I Really Hope this is NOT so
MANY THANKS Again
RESPECTS
CLIVE

Hi Clive, you might want to find this,http://dhc014.rpc1.org/LtnRPC/. It's a utility for you to change , modify or reset the amount of times left on your drive. It's only 580 kb. And it's also free. That website will take you there and explain what it does more fully than I can and to the download page. Hope it helps you with your problem.

Hey Mike,
The link you posted is for Liteon drives...are you having a senior moment?...
I think that's one on Tim's favorite expressions...

Good Evening, Clive, and I'm glad to see the cavalry has arrived. Not sure who is still here but I wish you would all review this thread and see what I may have overlooked.

Wellfrom his first post he said

"I have revieved advice From Paul but prior to his reply I tried my Nero 6
software and it was succesfull
I would still like to know why Platinum failed

so he got his other copy for his other son, are we trying to find out why DVDFab could not do the job

Correct. The disc is a DVD_VR recorded on his standalone; Fab won't copy it, but windows recognizes it OK as does Nero CD/DVD Speed (and Nero apparently copied it OK as well). Also concerned about his last post about the drive changing regions on its own. Never heard of that!

Scary . I realize this is a little hard to follow, since it began with a series of PMs then moved to the forum. The time difference from here to Wales does not help either. Thanks for looking in. We may need to try to find Clive a hack for his drive to reset the region counter.

I hope not, but who knows ? Apparently all is well (see Clive's last post). Still don't understand why the disc can't be read. Fab reads my VRs fine. Have to think about this some more.

Re: Clive Bundy

Hello The Group
Still Smarting from yesterdays big time Faux Pas (but equally confused why it happened - But That's for another time)
A Sage of An Old Charge Nurse I knew used to say --------
“To get a good answer we need to ask a GOOD QUESTION”
If you think there would be any Value in it, I’m wondering if one of you gents could formulate a list of questions Re the information that would assist us that I may forward to Phillips Tech Help
I’m Afraid I have no idea what the questions would be to get information/data/specs that would assist you
The Enclosure is a copy of the Phillips Specs Ah La - back of the owners manual
http://www.castlewales.com/ogmore.html -- Hope this is allowed it the view from our house And we are proud
Again my thanks
Clive
