This no longer works.. it appears they've hidden something else with their install, I've been successful with the vista clean uninstall before, but cannot do it any more. Any suggestions?

Consider Registry Mechanic (commercial) or Crap Cleaner (free) to get rid of remnants from your registry and start menu.

It depends on what or why you are doing a clean uninstall, there are a few other files that are left behind to stop users from using the free trial over and over again which if this is your intent then I am unable to help it would not be right or fair to the creator of DVD Fab

ive actually found regseeker to work better than ccleaner for the registry. and you can use reseeker to do a registry search with default backups.

as others have mentioned, what are you trying to accomplish with the uninstall?

There is nothing in the install that cannot be removed that will hurt your computer in any way. Once you have used the trial, it over , you will not be able to use it again, unless you want to keep reformatting your computer and even then it may call home, I really do not know. Use a registry cleaner after your uninstall if you like but you cannot use the trial more than once.

I would also modify step 5 to read "5.) Now open the once hidden folder called "AppData" then delete the "DVDFab" folder then open the "Roaming" folder and delete the "PCOUFFIN"...(Note)...there are 4 entries so delete all 4 and delete the "VSO" folder now exit the Roaming folder and the AppData folder."

I had an 'bad' cellphone profile and it has made it way into the new version. This way is a tad cleaner. I am sure it was a small oversight on your part. Thanks for the great instructions.

If you check closer you will find that the DVDFab folder you are talking about is in the "Roaming folder not the AppData folder, but thanks for pointing this out and yes it was an oversight and I will update the guide for vista soon I'm working on this already.
