Philips/Magnavox VCR/DVDR model MRV700VR: BLOCKED Message

I get a "BLOCKED" message on my led screen on the player and it won't allow the CD tray to go back in and read a disk blank or otherwise. There is no mention of it in the book anywhere of that message. And to be honest it's pissing me off

tremendously. Please help me get rid of it. I can't play a pre-recorded disc and I can't record new discs either. I have tried unplugging it and checked the settings there is no parent block on at all. Once I uplug it usually I can access the menu for the player but when it says blocked I can't. I am hoping it is something stupid that I just misunderstood. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!
