Philips DVD Blocked - Have opened tray but still have error!

Philips DVD Recorder and Player Forum Discuss, Philips DVD Blocked - Have opened tray but still have error! at Standalone Video Players & Recorders forum; I have a Philips DVD 610 which I have had about a month and have just had the error message blocked. I have opened tray manually by following the details in the other posts but when I go to use it again the error is still there with the BLOCKED

I have a Philips DVD 610 which I have had about a month and have just had the error message blocked. I have opened tray manually by following the details in the other posts but when I go to use it again the error is still there with the BLOCKED message constantly on the screen. Is there anyway of rectifying this or has the machine had it! Unfortunately bought it new off ebay so have no back up whatsover (you live and learn!) Would appreciate any help before I run off and buy a new one!

If you bought from a dealer on Ebay, do have proof of purchase and thus be able to claim under the Philips guarantee?
