Ic. I think I missed your first post. Sometimes nobody answers to some questions for no apparent reason.

My bulk version included all that (including screws and cables). The only difference to retail version was that I got it in a plastic bag instead of a box. The price difference between bulk and retail is 2 euros here.

But still with 2-year warranty? In that case, no reason to buy the standard box package. After all, you can get lots of those boxes for free from stores.

Yes, it included 2-year warranty but other retailers appears to sell it with 1-year warranty (both bulk and retail versions). But please do remember that some have reported the bulk version only containing the drive and nothing else.

Re: LG GSA-4163B - consumer's review - me eleewhm

Sen's C16 can do only 4x. Jan S's C16 can do 16x.

I read somewhere Nanya also produces Philips media and Melody in Taiwan and South Korea is selling Melody media sometimes with Nanya MID and sometimes with Philips MID.

Any feedback on these media from you?

Wonder if there is any good reason why Verbatim choses to sell 8x capable premium TY media at 4x pricing. So far, the local feedback isn't too encouraging and for myself, I am wary about the overspeedability of T02s@16x too.

Popular right now in South Korea.

http://www.storageinfo.co.kr/EzMODse...ic.php?t=29037

Mr. Kimya95 in Seoul has just got some of them. His feedback: very good at 8x. Up to 16x in Pioneer DVR-A08/108.

The worst design for Taiyo Yuden DVD media found in South Korea is from "V-star" brand. Fusion uses very similar designs to That's. Fujifilm YUDEN000T02 design doesn't look good to me.

Mitsubishi (and Verbatim) MCC001/002/003/004 designs are all very good. Simple and elegant.

I agree about the Fujifilm TY designs for the US market, very plain and unappealing. The old Verbatim DLP 4x discs had very nice designs (pearly white finish); I'm not sure why they changed that. At least the Sony 8x discs use that ceramic-type finish similar to That's.
