Does anyone have the unlock code for this model? I have looked at a few unlock sites and this model doesn't seem to be mentioned. Any help would be most appreciated. Thx.

If you're talking about a code to remove the region code I know of none. AFAIK most DVDRs don't have unlock codes, just select DVD players can be hacked.

From DMR-EZ48V Operating Instructions, page 81:

To reset the channel information and the
clock settings
On the main unit
CH Press and hold both buttons
for about 5 seconds.

To reset the ratings level settings
With the unit stopped
OPEN/CLOSE
to open the disc tray.
On the main unit
CH REC
SD CARD
Press and hold both buttons for
about 5 seconds.

To restore the unit if it freezes
On the main unit
POWER Press and hold for more than
10 seconds.
–The unit is off.
or
On the main unit
RESET
Press and hold for
more than 1 second
with a pointed object.
