TSSTCorp TS-L532A & Multi-Word DMA

Samsung Writer Discuss, TSSTCorp TS-L532A & Multi-Word DMA at CD and DVD Writers forum; I recently got a notebook (Compaq Presario R4009EA), equipped with this DVD-writer. Unfortunately, it seems somehow locked to "Multi-Word DMA 2", and none of the well-known tricks seems to get it @Ultra DMA 2. Any hints?
