I have a problem when I try to burn a CD.
I have successfully burned both CD's and DVD's before.
Now it doesn't work, Nero just keep telling me to place a CD-R/CD-RW disc in the rack, and when I do it say it is empty.

I would be very happy if someone could tell me what is wrong.

Can you guide me in how I uninstall the bus drives so I don't uninstall something important?
I don't really know what it is and how to keep the win driver.

just a simple guide would be great.
Thanks.

Thanks.

I didn't find any IDE with channel in their name, but the properties had a Primary Channel and Secondary Channel page.

The TS-H552U is set to this.
Transfer mode: Ultra DMA 2 - Ultra33
Let BIOS select transfer mode.

So what should I do?

It is absolutely normal, that Nero reports DMA=OFF if IDE drivers from the chipset manufacturer are installed.
I agree, that using Windows default drivers instead of Nvidia's drivers often resolve issues, but some users have also reported the opposite.

Maybe it should find the CD so I can start burning...
and ofcourse I had to abort, it never found the CD, what was I supposed to do? leave the computer and burning process on forever?
It didn't find the CD, try again or abort... after a few tries I had to abort... and after that the log was created.

Still the same problem.
But I've realized that it isn't just the burning that is the problem, the CD part of the CD/DVD is broken.
I can read and write DVD's, but CD's doesn't load, so I can't read them and I can't write on them since the burner doesn't find the empty CD.

So what could be wrong?

Clearly not. Just try with a cd/dvd cleaner and then try again.
