| Hello Everybody I currently have a TSSTcorp CD/DVDW SH-W162Z, and now i cannot burn DVD-R al though i am suppose to. I use to before and now i cant. As well as i tried two softawares BURN4FREE, and Nero. Both are on latest versions. I get an error of soemsort saying the burn failed. Thatz with both softwares. It goes liek this i put in the blank, open it in nero/burn4free tehn selct my files and click burn. For nero it will remain at 3% for awhile then i'lll aev it i think after 20 minutes i'll get the error message, and burn4free will just disspear, then reaper syaing it done the job but with soem errors so if you put that cd in , it wont even open the files properly. I have tried putting in different files still the same thing, however if i use DVD+R no errrors. My driver version is 5.1.2535.0. | Hi and welcome! At first, edit your post (there are few minutes left to do that) and remove your Nero serial. Are you able to do successful burns using DVD+R media? This might be an important information. You should also re-check jumpers and cable, as your second drive (Creative DVD-ROM) is only running in PIO mode. Michael |

| Upgrade to latest firmware TS01. http://www.samsungodd.com/eng/ Try another disc or different type dvd-r. The mediacode of your disc is FUJIFILM03, which my SH-W162c burns with excellent result. |

| Hello Well i did wat you guys chekc i updated my filmware, and still no good! Well i donno really how to check for the cable And i have already disbaled multisession before in my other attempts still no hope Tried different DVD-R, still no Hope I think its my driver version i donno how to update it though. | hi can any one plz help me! i had bought TSSTcorp CD/DVDW SH-W162Z recently and also burnt one cd for songs and that gone ok . but now when ever i try to burn dvd it gives error "write error" on windows xp and "power compilation error" in windows 98. then i tried to write cd then again same errors . i also updated my firmfare from ts00 to ts01 but same errors here is my latest log file plz help me.
