hi i have this dvd/cd/w tsstcorp/cd/dvd/w/ts-h552d ga01 1110m and it was working very good i burn with verbatim dvd+r 8x but i insert a verbatim dvd+r 16x and the burning went okay well it seems okay so i tried tu put another one to make a extra copy and the burner didnt recognize it so i put another movie and it says that the drive E its empty so now the burner dosnt work in any cd dvd software discs i saw that discs dont spin anymore so iam trying to find a firmware for that burner or any idea from you guys..... i thank you for your time

A firmware upgrade won't fix a dead drive.

If the drive don't spin up anymore it's probably dead.
