TS-L532A unable to read CDs

| i own an acer aspire 1362 with a TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-L532A. While the drive is fine when reading DVDs, it has lost its ability to read CDs. I've already tried uninstalling/reinstalling the drive a number of times, and tried changing the DMA settings but to no avail. | Hi and Welcome! Please try if you can boot from a CD with this drive. I personally like Linux Live CDs for that. If that fails, try if cleaning the lens will help. Michael |

__________________ for now im talking about _slim_ drives from tsst(toshiba.dsp)&qsi(mediatek.dsp) *currently i lose any interest in oms..  samsung got slim bd writers  SN-B043A, SN-B043L some_info_thinks_research_interests.. qsi_mediatek_slim_drives_group with your fw version info ofcouse  |
