| Hi everyone, I have been having a problem with my Samsung SH-S203D DVD burner. Whenever I try to verify an iso that I have burned with ImgBurn, I get an I/O error... Timeout on Logical Unit. This always happens at about the 70%-90% mark, regardless of the iso that I try to burn. The burnt DVD always seems to work fine... but I just find it strange that I have this problem when verifying the burn. I had a similar problem when verifying with Nero as well, and when using CDCheck. I also sometimes have problems with reading burnt DVDs on this drive which work perfectly on other computers. I am using decent quality DVDs, have the latest firmware and BIOS and am burning at either 4x or 8x, with the same results. I appreciate any advice! I'm not sure how much of the ImgBurn log I should put in here, so here is all of it: I 15:40:45 ImgBurn Version 2.4.1.0 started! | Hi, guys. I have the same problem with my S203D. I use Philips DVD+RW and Verbatium DVD+R and at different stages of verification it shows me this error... My firmware is patched SB01. It's really awful.. |
| Hi, could you please both post, what Sata controller is used, and how it is configured in Bios Setup. Maybe this is a controller or driver related issue. Michael

| Hi again! My mobo is Gigabyte P35-DS4 (biso ver. f12) and my SATA controler is ICH9R. I have IDE mode by default but I will try to switch it to the other mode... I don't have any Slysoft software on my PC, but I use Alcohol 52% ver. 1.9.7.6221. This problem appears in both Windows XP 32 and 64 bit. |
