| It's not just the DL discs, I've had problems burning TYG03s with the SH-S203B too but it burns them much better than the LH-20A1L. I also burn a lot of stuff on +RWs, I have some RITEK 008s (Memorex) and RICOHJPN W21 001s (RIDATA). The SH-S203B doesn't burn either of these discs well however the LH-20A1L works great for these. These RWs are actually the only discs I've tried that do burn well in the LH-20A1L. I wanted to find a replacement for the LH-20A1L but now I have to keep both drives to burn different media. The reason I want to use the MBIs is because they are the ONLY DLs I've found anywhere with a waterproof glossy hub printable surface. This is also the reason I use the TYG03s, they are the Watershilds. There's not a lot of options for waterproof glossy hub printable media. |

| Do switch to Verbatim, +R, 2.4x, MKM-001-00, Made in Singapore and your troubles will vanish. I wouldn't care too much for gimmicks like waterproof printable - use a sharpie! Regards |
| They should be fine.

| I've just received a cake of Verbatim +R DL, MKM003, Made in Taiwan, Rated at 8x. Nero offers to burn up to 10x. What speed would you recommend me to use to get optimum results, 4x, 8x or 10x? DL is still too expensive for me to do test burns :-( |
| Made in Taiwan? I only have seen made in India or Singapore.

The graph was perfect until the second layer started and then all hell broke loose. It was one big spike starting at the top middle and gradually declining towards the end. It did however start right up when I put it in my standalone Panasonic dvd52-s. Burned with dvdshrink and dvd decrypter. Don't know what country the disc was made in. |
