Second: Make sure you have the latest CD-Speed version from www.cdspeed2000.com

| is the TI94 firmware master or slave fw?? When i try to flash from TU51 to TI94 i get a warning message, it says "The selected fw may not be right" ?? I've had some flashing problems and i now have my hd on slave, and dvd burner on master.. (it's a notebook).. Will the TI94 work with the DVD burner set to master? | Hi there,, I have a TS-l532A and was wondering how do I go about making the burning a multi-zoned DVD Player, I have installed ASUS DVD player and comes up with saying that I only have 3 more times before it stays with the last choice. Have done it once before for one of my old DVD players to make multi zone i just flashed the bios. Cheers Andy |

I am guessing that this TSST L532A burner is not one of the drives supported by Disc Quality testing . This is really too bad, since I want to see the quality of the burns made by this burner. All of my burns seem to be working fine so far, but then again, I only use Verbatims and relabeled TY's. I just wanted to see if it would be worth it to try to upgrade to the TI94 firmware version. Also, just wondering, does this have a physical flash chip stored inside, so just in case something goes wrong, it could be reverted to the old firmware? I remeber a long time ago (probably 1-2 years ago, that the Lite-On 52246s cd burner put the ability to flash on the firmware itself after a while, thus 3rd party/hacked firmware could not be used.Well, I have e-mailed the creator of DVD/CD Speed at his website to send me a compatibilty list, so I hope I get that soon. EDIT: Oh, btw, are there any laptop drives out there that support Disc Quality reading? Currently the only DVD Burner I have is the tsst being discussed in this thread. I have a Litey 52242S burner, but that obviously won't read DVD's

| Hmm, played around with this drive some more. Looks like it doesn't support bitsetting, but it from the 25+ dvd's (DVD+Rs of course) I have burned on it so far, it automatically sets the book type as DVD-ROM, so I guess it really isn't too big of a deal.

| I seriously suggest all owners of this drive RMA their drive and just get a new one (especially those who have it with asus laptops - cuz mine is also asus). The company (asus in our case) will see that there are too many issues with these drives and will stop using them ... and hopefully send us back replacement drives that are not and nothing like these 532s (hopefully they will even change brands and go with something more highend :P) |

| Hi, I have a TS-L532A in my Gateway computer. The firmware revision is QG52. Build date is Apri 14th, 2005. I'm unsure as to what firmware would be appropriate for me. I have not burned any DL discs as of yet(DL+ I guess, as mine doesn't support DL-), but plan to. They're sort of expensive, so if a newer firmware is more reliable...I'd like to try it before wasting some discs. Any suggestions? |

| Can anyone help me please. I have the same problem as everyone in this thread has. But my firmware is HP20 because i have bought my laptop model nx6120 from HP. Please can anyone suggest how can i upgrade the firmware for the same. |

| how can one drive have so many different firmwares for it???? |

| Because it's not only sold as retail or bulk by the manufacturer but also as OEM/rebadged by others.
