I do not have a Liteon to scan these with. They do not scan accurately at all with my BenQ @8ECC, I am really at a loss as to what burner to scan them with. From what I have it seems that at 20X I get errors at about 3.0gig when QS with the BenQDW1640 @ 20X.

Why not have it scan its own burns? Or can't it?

Use the drive that burned them as I did in my posts You may have to edit the registry to enable scanning on your Sammy

Its a whole different story at 18X and 16X. Just 20X is the problem. I hope they release SB01 for this drive so I can see what my MCC004 look like at 20X.

The scan looks about the way I thought it would. Like mine Let's hope for better days (and burns ) with SB01. Like you I have had some very nice 16X and 18X results with this drive.

The difference between 20X and 16X with SB00. Burned with ImgBurn. Look at the 20X scan above and compare.

Yes, very nice! Makes me want to go stock up on T02 now and save them for [if] when I get this drive.

But it all goes downhill at 18X and 20X. You have to remember this is 8X rated media. Granted it has been overspeed for ages to 12X and 16X, even my BenQ drives overspeed this media but only to 16X max.

My general rule of thumb: 100% overspeeds on 8x media are the limit. The S203B did a T02 as if it was a T03, but then again, I wouldn't dare do 20x on an 8x media generally. But it is nice to know what would happen if we did do such overspeeds.

[And as for MXL RG03...it wasn't the best overspeeding media I had. But with the right strategy--my memory fails me right now--it did 16x about the same as 8x with the stock strategy.]
