| Samsung SH-S182D & Nero CDSpeed I have a Samsung model Sh-S182d that i just installed and Nero CD-DVDSpeed does not do the "Disk Quality" test. The START button is greyed out. This occurs for CD's AND for DVD's, both DVD+r/-r's. In contacting Samsung, they say it is the software. In contacting Nero, they say it is drive (after performing all their checks). Is this drive incompatible with Nero CDspeed? |

I found the registry entry, but I could not decipher your words: " key blocked delete strings samsung and tsxxxx no delete all strings" What does this mean, as the sentence was terribly unclear? I found the heading "Blocked" and samsung, tsxxx, but am to delete the whole entry? If you could explain, please advise. |

| Re: Samsung SH-S182D & Nero CDSpeed Hi Rick, by trial i figured it out. YOu meant, delete the strings "Samsung: and "tsxxxx," but do not delete the other names in the string. I tried it and it worked. Can you advise why this is blocked out? Did Nero block out this dvd player? |

| Re: Samsung SH-S182D & Nero CDSpeed Some drives are not much reliable as scanners, like NEC and Pioneers. I don't know about the latest samsung drives, but probably they are not much reliable too, so they are disabled for scanning with cd-dvd speed. |
