182D SB04 CDF BS ROMD

1/ Flashed the drive
2/ Burned a DVD+R and the result is DVD-ROM
3/ Removed the DVD+R
4/ Burned a DVD+RW and the result is DVD-ROM
5/ Removed the DVD+RW
6/ Burned a DVD-R and the result is good
7/ Removed the DVD-R
8/ Burned a DVD-RAM and the result is good

Next task is to look at the SL and DL read speeds for the 18x drives.

With the 16x SL patch, the drive also supports selecting 14x read.

I moved on a long time ago Bob. This drive is only currently installed to test the patches for people that still use this drive and want to get more out of it.

Thanks chaosoffar2k. I'll send you a link to the latest read speed and bitset patched firmware I'm using in my 182D, if you want? Are you using SB04 CDF?

Current read speeds are, SL 14x and DL 12x. It takes 1 minute of the read time of a full SL disc and a near full Video or R9 is now 11:37, so it should be a good ripper as well.

Please expand on this pinto2. The remove video riplock patch for 20x drives allows S203x drives to rip "encrypted Video DL's" at 12x or have you found otherwise?

Sorry C0deKing and all, I'll have to correct myself.

Seems like my problems are not at all related to Samsung patch utility. I get the same low rip speed on one of my S203B's when on stock SB03 firmware.
But all this is an old problem I almost forgot about;

You don't give any clear insturctions, the firmware is EXE file, and the autopatcher patches BIN files

How am I suppose to use modified firmware on this Samsung SH-203
firmware.

For my other NEC burner the hacked firmware is available and use the binflash and your done.

Samsung is huge headache with vague insturctions
