| Samsung Writer Discuss, 183L slows the entire pc down at CD and DVD Writers forum; I have the lightscribe 183L and find it slows the entire pc down! I swapped out a Sony DVD burner for this as I wanted the lightscribe capability and am wishing I hadn't. Yes Lightscribe is great and creates professional looking results BUT even when reading or burning 'normal' cds |
| I have the lightscribe 183L and find it slows the entire pc down! I swapped out a Sony DVD burner for this as I wanted the lightscribe capability and am wishing I hadn't. Yes Lightscribe is great and creates professional looking results BUT even when reading or burning 'normal' cds or dvds I find the machine seems to give all its resources to the drive, hence crippling the pc (and I have a dual core pc so no cpu issues there) , my Sony would merrily burn away whilst I surfed, edited docs etc. Anyone else get speed problems with this drive?
