Nero Linux Discuss, Playback Nero Digital on Linux PCs at Nero & InCD forum; Is it possible to playback Nero Digital files, with subtitles, on PCs with Linux? If so, how do I do it?

I am guessing the answer is no, going on the delayed responses.

You can definantly play ND files on Linux but I cant say about subtitles I have not tried this and don't have files to test.

They play, but without subtitles. I emailed Nero but they didn't answer my question, instead they gave me the URL to this forum.

I plan to buy one of those Ultraportables with Linux OS. The price and size makes them a excellent alternative to expensive multimedia players like this one

I read somewhere that 1 of 3 Ultraportable buyers plan to use it to playback multimedia files. It appears Nero has no interest in this so I'll encode to divx instead. Or maybe Nero does see the market, but has concluded Nero Digital is too CPU intensive to be used with ATOM and VIA CPUs.
