Error writing DVD, Readhat, Sony USB DRU-700A

Hi,

We are trying to write to a DVD using Nero for linux and are having frequent failures. That is, we get about 1 in 5 successful burns (using growisofs). So we had a go with Nero for linux and got the following result (failure after burning 60%). Can anyone suggest things we might check or what might be cuasing this problem?
