Are you doing "Restore" before attempting update, and are you getting any error message? Once my 5005 failed to update until I powered off the unit and powered on again upon which update completed normally.

Id like to thank your forums as we got the infomation required to change our dvd liteon so we can us which ever dvds we wont to record through changing the regional code through set up in your player this is 5005 liton lvw5005 thanks to the tecs in this forum for all your hard work in keeping every body informed
