Lite-On DVD Recorder and Player Forum Discuss, Gateway AR-230 at Standalone Video Players & Recorders forum; Do any of the LiteOn Firmware hacks work with this model? I was told the AR-230 and the DVDr04 are the same? Thanks!

Don't know for certain. But I think the AR-230 is simply a rebadged Liteon under the Gateway name. Almost all of the other "rebadged" units have been able to be hacked using the same procedures as used for the corresponding Liteon Models. You may want to try ILOHacker to do the firmware hacking.If it can't locate the proper hex string it will tell you.
