Holy crap! It's the middle of winter!
And that's not cloud. It's smog ... and it doesn't seem to go away.
Hows the sun? A big golden orb, taking up 1/2 the sky? I missed the little tiny sun for the weeks I was there

With temperatures like that, China's birthrate is gonna drop through the floor
No good snuggling weather

And the wifes hates them. I grew up to the sirens so doesn't really bother me. Good luck with your watch.
The cold front blew through here in about 10 minutes so it didn't last long.

I’m one of those “crazies” that likes severe weather. I could get into storm chasing.

I've seen a few funnel clouds and was near a F0-to-F1 range tornado when it hit. Even a weak one like that is kicka$$!

I've seen some cold air tornadoes but they were like large whirl winds doing no damage really but nothing bigger than that. I just don't want one to hit my house

Re: What's the temperature where you are?

I don't know what the actual temp is here right now, but it's cold. I've put the heating on.

Thank God for duvets and large cats.

Finally some decent temps in my area. Glad I moved. Currently 50 degrees F outside and it was up to almost 60 today. Supposed to be like this all week. I love it.

Courage and perseverance have a magical talisman, before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into air.

The most important things are the hardest to say. They are the things you get ashamed of, because words diminish them-words shrink things that seemed limitless when in your head to no more than living size when they're brought out. But it's more than that, isn't it? The most important things lie close to wherever your secret heart is buried, like landmarks to a treasure your enemies would love to steal away. And you may make revelations that cost you dearly only to have people look at you in a funny way, not understanding what you've said at all, or why you thought it was so important that you almost cried while saying it. About 0C. Warmer than Canada, but doesn't feel it because the buildings aren't heated. I have to wear thermal undies (aka the Canadian thong (as named by BigMike)) and my coat all day at work.

Re: What's the temperature where you are?

@ rolling....nice to jump outta bed to a screching siren.....we have new digital ones and two of them are like 2 blocks from my house...when they were testing them...i had all my tvs on..and radios too....you can hear the man's voice plain as day..saying THIS IS A TEST..! I was like OMG..i can only imagine what would happen if they set the siren off at 4 am....

and @ Hyper...it appears i'm the greatest risk area....and we sure have tons of them ....it says 6-10..but it really depends on if they are hurricane related or just plain ole every day run of the mill sever thunderstorms that breed one

Well it's not spring here in SW Missouri if it doesn't happen a couple of times My wife grew up in Cali so she's scared to death of it but doesn't mind earthquakes cause they sound the siren here and she knows something might happen but with earthquakes you never know. That's her way of thinking lol I was in Cali for 3 yrs and was in 1 earthquake but it was kind of weird hearing the ground cracking from a distance and then got louder as it got closer then leaving the same way. Very strange.

Anyway 57ºF/13.88ºC and cloudy. Clouds are supposed to move out this afternoon.
