100 Maxell Xtreme Ptotek x16 DVD-R (MXL RG04)
1 box of Verbatim Hard Coat Protection DVD-R (MCC02RG20)
1 50 Spindle of HP 52x CD-R (CMC)
Pack of 4 Fujitsu G-Plus alkaline batteries.

So these Proteks, are they better than the standard Maxell DVD-Rs I have? the ones I have are in jewel cases in boxes of 5 and are MXL RG04.

I'm on the lookout for those in bold. Haven't seen (ever!) Maxell MIDs, but lots of RicohJPN03 Maxell-branded DVDs.

Yeah, finally! I've been looking far and wide for them, who'd have thought a quiet stroll through some electronics boutiques would yield such a find! The Afa's aren't that good, but the others are!

Typo, upon closer inspection I've found out that these are MAP6 MIT-CMC discs, not MIT-Prodisc. Good discs for the price

Just received an Optiarc AD-7200A (spare drive to my 7203A),
and a Pioneer DVR-116D to play around with.

Maxell ProTeks are better than standard Maxell discs because they have a special scratch resistant coating. ProTeks are premium, archival grade discs. Used to pay €1.79 a disc for them at a local retailer, just to put things into perspective.

I bought some Maxell Xtreme ProTeks online from DamroTech for €1.03 per disc in jewel cases before the cellowrapped ones became available at SVP.

Good point. Although if you fill it up with lossless music and pair it up with good cans you might be able to fill that up quite easily...

Definitely. The battery's in them are actually quite good. They only really start to run out when you watch movies on them lol.
So far I've got about 50 gigs of music on there. I'm probably gonna add some more today.
