Bought a 4 port PCI SATA controller for connecting burners.


It's based on the SI-3114 chipset and seems to work well after flashing it with a non-raid BIOS. It's very cheap too.

I've found that Silicon Image chipset-based cards, both IDE and SATA, work well with optical drives. I have a 2-port SATA SiI3112 chipset card that allows for simultaneous 16x burning.

Yep. I have a SI680A IDE card too. It works great for PATA drives.

Just bought another beauty dish:

Is an addition to my other Gregory dishes... Kick ass stuff from Grundig, FIBO, Kreiselmeyer etc: 60cm, 90cm and 120cm (!!!). All other dishes here are non-gregory style.

2x Maxell 12x DVD-RAM from AudioCubes II in the US.

Cost me $48 in all for two discs + shipping, which is roughly £25 at this moment in time. Hella good price if I say so myself

On the part where they list shipping charges, mine said USPS so I guess mine's coming from the US?! Maybe they got some stock in at their US HQ and are sending them from there.
