If you want, you can go back 2 weeks. It's whatever you feel like sharing.

I just bought the kids (and me) a PS3. Sweet deal at Blockbuster: 80Gb version for $599. It's $100 more than everywhere else but it comes with the HDMI cable and the Bluray remote so it comes out even. Then they throw in one movie or game rental per week for the next 20 weeks (+++). Pretty cool since the kids spent all their money just to get the console.

Bluray movies (and even old DVD's upscaled) look unbelievable through the HDMI connection to my Samsung 42". The games are incredible. PS3 will also connect to a Media Server. My whole CD collection is ripped to my HDD so it just obsoleted my 200 disc CD player.

Also, just upgraded from my $8.99 per month 52K dial-up to a $14.99 per month 768K DSL connection. PS3 connects to web through my home LAN. Momma can talk on the phone while we're online!!! Momma happy, Icy happy, everybody happy.

I love life...Yeah, I'm sad, but at the same time, I'm really happy that something could make me feel that sad. It's like...It makes me feel alive, you know. It makes me feel human. The only way I could feel this sad now is if I felt something really good before. So I have to take the bad with the good. So I guess what I'm feeling is like a beautiful sadness.

Courage and perseverance have a magical talisman, before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into air.

I am so glad that GWB's 8 year COD game is finally over.

The most important things are the hardest to say. They are the things you get ashamed of, because words diminish them-words shrink things that seemed limitless when in your head to no more than living size when they're brought out. But it's more than that, isn't it? The most important things lie close to wherever your secret heart is buried, like landmarks to a treasure your enemies would love to steal away. And you may make revelations that cost you dearly only to have people look at you in a funny way, not understanding what you've said at all, or why you thought it was so important that you almost cried while saying it. That's the worst, I think. When the secret stays locked within not for want of a teller but for the want of an understanding ear. - Stephen King, intro to "The Body."

I upgraded from the free Acronis v7.0 to v11.0 for $29.99. I have been using Seagate DiscWizard for free also but went ahead and bought it. Seemed fairly cheap to me for what it does. I have some HDD cloning to do and some other HDD files to move around etc...that only the (full) version does.

I paid more than that for both mine (a "pure" 1650 and a Philips which I crossflashed to a 1650).

Not as much as cheesie though, whew! Mine cost £35 and £39 respectively, both from PCW.
