uninsured motorist covers when you are injured by an uninsured motorist. the only exception i am aware of is if you are on a motorcycle any other 2 wheeler (bicycle) or walking or in your car or in your friends ect does not disallow coverage.

very true. UM/UIM coverage is mandatory in the state of TX at the same level as your BI however you can decline it by signing a form approved by the state. if you have 100/300 BI you can have 100/300 UM/UIM coverage
