Greetings all,

As the thread title suggests, I am looking for a pressed single layer data DVD-ROM (game, program etc) over 4GB and preferably right around 4.38GB in capacity. It can NOT be a DVD-Video disc.
The disc must be able to be found in the US.

The current data DVD-ROM testing disc I have is having problems reading at 16X in multiple drives (it is a poor quality disc).
That being said, hopefully everyone here can check their favorite data DVD-ROM games/apps and suggest something worthwhile for me to go out and buy.

Thank you!
( Please report any known pressed data DVD-ROM discs over 4GB in this thread)

I wonder how expensive it is nowadays to order 1,000 duplcated pressed DVD disks. US$0.1 or US$1 per disk?

Wesociety,
Don't know what you want to spend but I have a SuSE Linux 7.2 Professional DVD here that is a Data DVD-ROM 4.37gb capacity. Like you though this disc fails to get a smooth curve on any drive I have.

I have those same exact SuSE discs!
I thought they would be perfect, but they are obviously poor quality discs since they cannot read back at full 16X speed in any of my drives.

Any other suggestions people?
Someone out there has to have a DVD-ROM game that they love that has over 4GB of data!

I tried to get Linux DVD-ROM discs or at least the ISO files on the web or FTP, but could never get. Only CD versions were available.

Well quite some Playstation 2 games are 4.37. But do you count these as DVD-ROM ?

Heh I too got the Novell SuSE 9 free package. Never used it though (who needs Linux anyway?)
And why cant it be a single-layer DVD-video?

Because there are many drives that will limit DVD-Video read speed, but DVD-ROM data speeds will remain higher (16X).
