We used to have a cat, but it left home and we have never seen it since. It used to bring me home presents, like mice that were still alive and little birds from the garden. I don't think the cat liked me very much.

Actually when a cat brings it's prey back home, dead or alive, it's actually a sign of gratitude, it's kinda that cat's way of saying thanks.
