It's scary to think of how much it'd cost for those mountains of media here in Oz ... I'm guessing somewhere in the vicinity of $5000au / $4000us.
We don't get decent media discounts here ... even at end of financial year

Neither do we...even the sale stuff is a bit over priced (and sale stuff doesn't happen very often!)

Re: How Big is your .. err .. Stash!

Personally I stock up on those rare occations when mega good deals come along. further, it has acumulated over time. I could never buy all that at once, but who couldn't afford a 50 pack every few weeks (for years).

Some might see CMC as a sin. If that's so, I'm in hot water

I just spotted those Pearl Whites as well...if they're CMC, I think I can let that slide

Greed is a deadly sin however, and by the looks of my stash I'm guilty as charged!

Re: How Big is your .. err .. Stash!

CMC is less of a sin than Infodisc. I'm going to get some Verb CD-RWs later, as those Infodiscs wear off quite quicky
Pearl Whites can be CMC or Ritek, in local shops I've mostly seen the combo +R/RITEK R03, -R/CMC MAG AE1, but YMMV.

Which is why I said I hope they're CMC

Hehe, yes, it has to do with this thread which I pointed out that I use the Blu-ray drive for data archive only, since I cannot watch any Blu-ray movies yet.

Hey evilboy.
Slightly off-topic...there´s a guy in the German thread getting sweaty about finding good quality media here
http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=191479
Maybe you have a tip for him...
I just (usually) buy whatever Verbatim my local store has...as and when I need it.

I'm not even sure I want to know how much that blue ray drive and media cost you.....They are still quite expensive, even for the media, arn't they?

Ok, I have got a problem. I admit it.

I think my buying of blank media has gone a little too far. Being unable to stop myself stocking up on bargin media needs to stop.
After sitting down and adding up my stash I was a little shocked.
Here is my current blank list.
TYGO1 = 225
TYG02 = 225
YudenT02's = 475
MXLRG03 = 195
Sony08D1 = 50
Sony16D1 = 15
SonyD11 = 75
SonyD21 (MIJ) = 80
LGE04 = 32
LGE08 = 50
CMC MAG.AE1 = 200
Daxon008S = 100
CMC MAG.E01 = 20
TTG01 Armour Plated (MIJ) = 10
MCC01RG20 = 150
MCC02RG20 = 250
MCC003 = 25
RICOHJPND00 = 10
That equals 2177 Blanks !!!!!!!!!!!!
And I might burn 5 discs a week.
Damm..........I must never look at a media special ever again.
Anyone else have the same affliction?

Holy CRAP! I thought I was obsessed when I bought a whole load of verbatim MCC004 (250) when they were on special!

I don't feel so bad now

Re: Ok, I have got a problem. I admit it.

I thought I had an affliction, but now I clearly don't . Seriously, though, its not too bad because Im reburning stuff from marked/scratched discs Ive burned previously. I do like to try new media, but I almost always manage to prevent myself by thinking it'll be useless to me in the end.
