| I find casemodding very cool and sometimes you have real beauties, but to give a lot of money for a flashy case? Not my intention. But for those who have done it, let us see these pictures.

| Personally I'm totally against modding of cases... The deliberate mutilation of the case turns my stomach. How can people not consider the feelings of the case, after all it had to be subjected to a rigorous manufacturing process to begin with, but thats not good enough for you.... No you have to mess around with it and try to 'improve' on the already ubiquitous case.... ok I think I have made my point. or not.

| About to put an extra fan where it doesnt belong. Got my screwdriver and hammer ready. This is going to be messy since i have no knowledge of proper modding and i dont have any cash to buy anything other than a fan. If my case and parts get screwed up...this post never happened.

| Funny I encountered this topic since the last couple of days I've been surfing the net for this very same topic, case modding. I've become very interested in it since my standard pc is sooooooo boring and very noisy. I've recently drilled a hole in the side of my case to add an exhaust fan and that already looks cool in my opinion but I think it could be better. I'm thinking of replacing the fan with one of these soon: Or perhaps the tri-colour version. Problem is that my comp is under my desk and I can't see it. I'm thinking of a solution for this but haven't found one. I'm also thinking of adding a side window and a blue cathode to light things up. But since my big tower case is kinda old I'm thinking of just getting a completely new case with a side panel window like the Lian-Li PC70 (window is optional, case is great). Unfortunately this case is very, very expensive (270 euro) and I simply cannot afford it right now. But when I finish school and get a normal job I will definitely buy one and start modding.

| Some of those mods are pretty cool looking, Id like to one, but I have to get the time to do it.... The Mr. Coffee looks good. Just think a lan party, lots of soda, pizza, and 500 gallons of coffee pouring through that thing...

| Uhm, I have a question. How exactly do you make the initial incision into the case to start modifying it. It seems my caveman method of banging a nail into the case with a hammer has backfired...

| It depends on what tools you want to use to cut the metal. If you're about to use a Dremel (TM), you do not need any other tool to make an incision. If you want to use some kind of saw, you'd better drill a little hole first, so you can put your saw in it.

I'm thinking of getting a smaller case though (Lian-Li PC60 with side window) and just live with two less writers in my case A midi tower would fit on my desk and when I add a bright blue light to is I think it will look cool. Lian-Li cases are already very good so I think that's what I'm going to do when I have enough money

| A big tower can fit on your desk as well. The best place to put it, is in a corner of your room (your desk also has to be in the corner ). Make sure the right side panel of your case is against the wall, so you can see your marvelous enlighted hardware through your embedded-window

| Installed that fan, used wire clippers to make that round shape. Ugly, but works.
